Dozens of soldiers are home tonight enjoying some down time with loved ones.
Our cameras were there for the emotional homecoming at Fort Lee this evening. The proud men and women are with the Army's 111th Quartermaster Company, a special group that takes care of the military casualties overseas. They're back after spending several months in Afghanistan and Kuwait.
It was hugs and kisses for First Lt. Edward Hurley from his wife Alison and their two kids.
"It feels great, words can't even describe it, feels great," said Hurley.
Nearby, Jillian Wilson is in tears after reuniting with her boyfriend, Sgt. Cody Mills.
"I'm just glad he's home, it's about time," said Jillian Wilson.
"Probably the best feeling I've had ever," said Sgt. Cody Mills.
It's the best feeling ever for Specialist Alfredo Hernandez who says he's now going to take orders from his 2-year-old daughter.
"I'm looking forward to spending time with my family that's the biggest thing, everything else is just obsolete, just spend time with them and do whatever my 2-year-old wants to do," said Hernandez.
The 111th Quartermaster Company is one of the Army's only two active duty mortuary affairs units, which are both based in Fort Lee.
