Trial versions of iWork, iLife, Aperture being upgraded to full versions in Mavericks

Trial versions of iWork, iLife, Aperture being upgraded to full versions in Mavericks

It appears that some users of OS X Mavericks have been able to update trial versions of iWork, iLife, and Aperture, to the new versions that were released earlier this week. Opening the Mac App Store on a Mac running Mavericks, some users with trial versions of these apps have found that the full versions have been added to their Purchased tab. Free versions of the iWork and iLife suites are currently available to anyone who purchased a Mac after October 1 of this year.

Interestingly, Apple also seems to be converting copies of iLife, iWork and Aperture that were physically installed from a DVD to their Mac App Store counterparts - something that hasn't happened before. If you have a copy of these apps installed on your hard drive, the Mac App Store now recognizes them and records them in your Purchases list, so you can reinstall them (or install them on another computer).

Have you noticed this after updating to Mavericks? Let us know in the comments.
